1Who we are

PGSet is operated by ILA Platforms. This policy covers the PGSet Android app (app.PGSet), the service behind it, and this website.

2Your account

• Name and mobile number. You sign in with your number.
• Password, stored only as a one-way hash. Nobody can read it.
• Business name, your role (owner or manager) and the PGs you can access.

3What you record

• PGs: floors, rooms, beds, rents, due days and saved contacts.
• Tenants: name, phone, email, address, emergency contact, room, dates and notes. For ID documents, only the type and an optional number. No images.
• Money: rent, payments, deposits, refunds and expenses. PGSet records payments; it does not process them.
• Activity: who changed what, and when.

When rent is pending, PGSet sends the tenant an SMS rent reminder on the owner’s behalf, using the phone number the owner entered.

The PG owner decides what to record about tenants, and we store it on the owner’s behalf. Owners should record only what they need. Tenants can ask their PG owner, or us, to see or remove their details.

4Technical data

Standard server logs (IP address, time, request), sign-in attempt counts to stop password guessing, and the app version when it checks for updates. The website sets no cookies.

5What we don’t collect

No location, contacts, photos, files or microphone. No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. No push tokens. No card, bank or UPI details. The Android app lists camera permission for a planned feature; it isn’t used.

6Who sees it

• Owners see their whole business. Managers see only their assigned PGs.
• WhatsApp reminders and CSV exports go wherever you send them.
• Cloudflare (network and security) and our email provider, only to run the service.
• An SMS provider, which receives a tenant’s phone number and the reminder text, only to deliver rent reminders.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it.

7Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and stored on servers operated by ILA Platforms. Each business is kept separate. We keep data while your account is active and delete it when you ask, except what the law requires us to keep.

8Your choices

Export your data from More → Export data, correct it in the app, or ask us for a copy. To delete your account, see Delete account. PGSet accounts are for adults (18+).
